Location Scouting

Whilst on holiday in Murcia Spain I scouted for some locations. Of course I am aware that will not be able to go back and film there however I go some establishing shots of locations and some close up shots of flowers and plants as these shots conform to the codes and conventions of the indie genre.

 I enjoy this worms eye view shot, as it creates a sense of disorientation, which relates to our genre of choice, Indie. Drugs and alcohol are conventional of indie, and disorientation is a result of both drugs and alcohol.

I don't feel like this shot in particular fits with our music video as indie music videos are usually filmed in urban locations such as skate parks, cinemas etc, in the UK (when created British artists) and the tropical palm tree reveals that the location is in a hot country.

 This wide/ establishing shot shows the entire location. Like the shot above I believe that we can incorporate this shot by using the style of shot however not the location. An establishing shot of the field where we will be filming may fit within our video.

This medium shot of flowers relates to our music video as we have a very 'girly' protagonist. Flowers, in particular pink flowers are associated with 'girly girls'. By using this shot in relation to our protagonist we will be conforming to the stereotyping of girls.
