Digipak (Back)

We discussed preferred ideas for both the front and back of our digipak as a group. For the back of the digipak, we enjoyed the idea of presenting the back of our artist, Alex Anderson, walking his dog. We liked this shot because it reflects a shot within our music video, maintaining synergy. Cailin designed the back of the digipak as she is the most creative. Drawing the digipak first allowed us to visualise our idea.

The shot the we took of Alex mirrored the drawing of the shot that we planned, presenting the concept that we wished to. Via research on digipaks, I was able to understand the general aspects and conventions that were involved, including; the artist/bands name, the name of the production companies, the tracks that are on the CD, and the barcode.

We wanted to involve high-key lighting on the digipak to abide by our theme of happiness. We did this by editing the photo on Photoshop. We altered the levels of brightness to achieve this desired effect. The use of high-key lighting depicts the happiness that our artist Alex experiences due to his new love, the basis of his album.
