Final Tour Poster

Our final draft of the tour poster is much more developed than both the first and second draft. We used Photoshop to edit the poster. We enhanced the colours, putting a focus on the colour blue as we will do on the digi-pak in order to create synergy through this theme of blue. Another improvement was the development of the tour dates and places, including more information for audiences. We also decided to include the star image on the poster.

When researching pre-existing Indie music tour posters I found a common theme of absence of the artist/ band on the tour poster. Indie artists/bands that do not include a clear image of the artist/band on their tour posters include Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, The Libertines, The Kooks, Kurt Vile and many more. We decided to challenge this convention and to include the star image on the tour poster, as it allows audiences to recognize the artist/ band, promoting the artist as well as the tour and their album.
